(Senior) Lab Technician - Preclinical R&D (m/f)

Position Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated (Senior) Lab Technician to join our team. The focus of the Preclinical R&D Department is to characterize the immunogenicity and efficacy of candidate therapies in a range of preclinical models. This position involves working in the laboratory and the animal facility.

Main Responsibilities
  • Working with infectious substances under BSL-2 conditions
  • Working in the animal facility, mouse handling and drug application
  • Support and perform immunological techniques including multicolor flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISpot, cytokine assay and other immunoassays
  • Perform in vitro and ex vivo assays to characterize immune cells and other cells of the tumor microenvironment
  • Maintaining primary cells and cell lines
  • In vivo assessment of the therapeutic effect of candidate therapies (e.g., monitor tumor growth)
  • Tissue sampling and processing
  • Accurate and legible documentation and records of experiments
  • Ability to work on weekends and statutory holidays if necessary

Qualifications

  • MTA, BTA, Dipl. Ing. (FH), B.Sc. or M.Sc. or equivalent in relevant field (e.g., Biology, Immunology, Microbiology, Biotechnology)
  • Experience with cell culture, multicolor flow cytometry, immunological assays and mouse in vivo models would be an advantage
  • Independent, efficient, and proactive workstyle
  • Well organized, detail-oriented, hands-on mentality, and solution-oriented
  • Motivated, flexible, team player with the ability to work under time pressure
  • Eager to learn and develop new techniques
  • Fluent in English and German

We are required by Austrian law to post a minimum salary. The minimum monthly gross salary from EUR 2.523,- (Lab Technician) to EUR 2.837,- (Senior Lab Technician) based on fulltime (40 hours per week); depending on experience and qualification salary can be negotiated. In addition, we offer a performance-related bonus payment and participation in our stock option compensation program.
