(Sr.) Lab Technician Formulation Development & Product Characterization (f/m/d)

Position Summary

We are searching for a highly motivated Lab Technician (m/f/d) with a good background in instrumental analytics of biopharmaceuticals to join our Formulation Development & Product Characterization unit for a permanent position. The main focus of this unit within the Process Development Department is the biophysical characterization of HOOKIPA´s immunotherapy candidates and the development/optimization of new formulations. The advertised position is primarily laboratory based.

• Biophysical and biochemical analytics for process characterization and formulation development
• Application of chromatographic (HPLC) and particle characterization techniques for product characterization
• Execution of formulation screening experiments to optimize vector stability and process-ability
• Take responsibility for lab associated tasks, such as maintenance of equipment, lab organization, material flow, ordering, decontamination, etc.
• Design accurate documentation protocols and follow documentation according to GDP
• Collect analytical data and compile data overviews and presentations

Qualifications

• MTA, Dipl. Ing. (FH) or M.Sc. in relevant field (e.g. Biochemistry, Biotechnology)
• Experience with biophysical characterization techniques (e.g. HPLC, light scattering) is of advantage
• Experience in working in biopharmaceutical or biotechnology industry desired
• Ability to work on multiple projects under time pressure
• Detail-oriented, well organized and proactive workstyle
• Accurate GMP like documentation (experience with data management systems is of advantage)
• Open-minded and communicative team-player
• Fluent in written and spoken English and German

We are required by Austrian law to post a minimum salary. The minimum monthly gross salary for this position is EUR 2.754- (Lab Technician) based on fulltime (40 hours per week); depending on experience and qualification salary can be negotiated. In addition, we offer a performance-related bonus payment and participation in our stock option compensation program.
