Position Summary

Under the guidance of the supervisor, the Purchasing Support executes procurement related tasks for our Vienna R&D operations. The successful candidate will handle purchase requests from the departments, be responsible for goods receipt and storage, including the respective ERP functionalities and will also follow-up with vendors regarding deliveries, complaints etc.

Main Responsibilities
  • Execute purchase orders for goods, services and supplies
  • Follow up on purchase orders through to delivery, including goods receipt and storage management (working closely with lab support team)
  • Handle with damages and complaints
  • Ensure proper inventory levels and timeliness of deliveries (Inventory management)
  • Obtain and evaluate offers
  • Support of cost saving strategies and efficiency improvements
  • Observe policies and practices for the purchase process


  • Completed economic/commercial education (e.g. HAK, HTL)
  • Minimum two years professional experience, as administrative support, e.g. in a purchasing or manufacturing environment, or experience in a laboratory
  • Good command of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
  • Technically interested, ideally with an understanding of laboratory supplies and equipment
  • Strong service mentality
  • Keen on negotiating and pushing partners to achieve results
  • Interested in working in global, intercultural environment
  • Team orientated, accurate and structured working style
  • Fluent in English/German, both spoken and written
  • Valid EU working permit

We are required by Austrian law to post a minimum salary. The minimum monthly gross salary for this position is EUR 1.584,- based on fulltime (40 hours per week); depending on experience and qualification salary can be negotiated. In addition, we offer a performance-related bonus payment and participation in our stock option compensation program.
